KPMG has completed the sale of the final Albert Fisher site - seafood plants in Fraserburgh and Peterhead - to fresh, frozen and processed seafood firm Macrae Seafoods for an undisclosed sum.
Joint receiver at KPMG Mick McLoughlin said: “This now completes the sale of all the Fisher Food businesses. In selling each of the sites as a going concern, we have managed to secure over 3,300 jobs in total.”
Fisher’s other operations have been sold to Del Monte Fresh Packaged Produce, Frigoscandia and Belgian vegetable processor Pinguin, plus Young’s Bluecrest.
