Sainsbury’s shoppers are struggling to get hold of products in the supermarket’s Flourish range, as the retailer plans a new year shake-up of its healthy food offer.
Posting a screenshot of an out-of-stock notice for Flourish High Peanut Granola 400g, one X user shopper asked Sainsbury’s, “Have you withdrawn this product? I can’t find it anywhere and it seems to be permanently out of stock online.”
Another posted a photo of an empty Flourish Indian Style Cauliflower & Potato Soup 400g can, also tagging Sainsbury’s. “Do you still stock this,” they wrote. “I can’t find it at my local store.”

When Sainsbury’s debuted Flourish in January 2023, it comprised over 65 products, including snacks, smoothies, on-the-go lunch options and serves-one ready meals.
Sainsbury’s recognised resolutions to eat better were “front of mind for many” in the new year, it said at the time. So, Flourish had been designed to “save the nation from boring meal prep and mundane dishes when busy and on the go” and make “sticking to healthy habits easier”.
Only nine of the range’s SKUs – three canned meals, three chilled meals and three herbal teas – were available online as The Grocer went to press.
Flourish products are still in Sainsbury’s stores nationwide, but availability varies depending on location.
Sainsbury’s is planning an overhaul of its healthier food and drink offering in the new year, The Grocer understands. However, the retailer declined to provide details.
In other healthy food innovation news, Tesco appears to be readying the launch of an own label gut health range.
It has applied to register the name Gut Sense as a trademark with the IPO across categories including probiotic supplements, kefir and cereal bars. Tesco declined to comment.
