Former Gateway chairman and CEO Keith Edwards passed away on 21 September, aged 77.

Malcolm Hepworth, former CEO of the Co-operative Buying Group who worked under Edwards at Gateway from 1970 until 1992, said Edwards had turned the company around after it had “lost its way”.

“Keith put Gateway back on track,” said Hepworth. “He also gave people platforms for development way beyond what they would have had in other businesses.”
