Freixenet has added a third still wine to its portfolio - Freixenet Ash Tree Estate Merlot Tempranillo.
The red wine joins the initial duo of Chardonnay Macabeo and Shiraz Monastrell, which were the first still wines to be launched under the Cava specialist’s banner in 2003.
Managing director Graham Fortune said: “The launch of the Freixenet Ash Tree Estate range has had an extremely positive response from consumers. This confirms there is significant demand for a premium Spanish range tailored to UK consumers’ needs and offering consistently excellent quality backed up by a trusted brand.”
Freixenet Ash Tree Estate Merlot Tempranillo is a rich wine with flavours of plum, sloe and morello cherry. It will retail for £5.49.
The entire Freixenet range will be supported by an ongoing marketing programme.
