The new ice creams have hit Morrisons freezers

Froneri has expanded its Cadbury ice cream range with three products.

Cadbury Crunchie tub (rsp: £4/425ml) features honeycomb-flavoured ice cream with honeycomb and dairy Milk pieces and a Dairy Milk core centre.

Dairy Milk Mint sticks (rsp: £4.50/4x90ml) are made of mint ice cream, swirled with mint chocolate and encased in Dairy Milk chocolate with mint crisp pieces.

Dairy Milk Minis (rsp: £4.75/6x50ml) are smaller versions of Dairy Milk sticks, which are filled with vanilla ice cream with a chocolate swirl, dipped in Dairy Milk. They are targeted at “younger families and snacking audiences”.

All three innovations have hit Morrisons freezers with a wider retail rollout planned for March.

Froneri’s Cadbury Dairy Milk brand cashed in nearly £50m in the year to 7 September 2024, according to NIQ data used in The Grocer’s Top Products survey.

Value sales of handheld lines grew by 29.2% to £37.8m on volumes up 21.3%, while tubs were up 19.6% to £8.6m on volumes up 16.5%.

Meanwhile, value sales of Froneri’s Cadbury Crunchie handheld lines were up 27.4% to £15m over the period, on volumes up 29.7%.

“Cadbury ice cream has achieved growth that outpaces the total branded ice cream market in all formats,” said Froneri Cadbury brand manager Kim Jacks.

“As we look ahead to 2025, we are thrilled to unveil the launch of three exciting new SKUs poised to further elevate our bestselling range.”
