He might have just turned 60 - but Tony the Tiger has still got a grrreat sense of style.
Kellogg’s has marked the 60th birthday of the Frosties mascot by replacing his traditional red scarf with a purple and red one designed by Philip Armstrong.
While there are no plans to introduce the new look to packs, the company has produced actual scarves based on the design. It is selling 500 on eBay and the Kellogg’s Facebook page for £6.99, with proceeds donated to FareShare.
Tony was created by ad agency Leo Burnett in 1952 following a contest to pick a mascot for the cereal. “To still be around after 60 years is no mean feat,” said Robert Opie of the Museum of Brands.
