The company sold imported fruit & vegetables at New Covent Garden Market

A buyer is being sought for fruit & vegetables importer and wholesaler The Italian Fruit after it fell into administration.

The New Covent Garden Market-based wholesaler of Italian fruit & vegetables called in administrators at insolvency firm Purnells on 4 December.

Joint administrators Lisa Alford and Chris Parkman have been instructed to seek a potential buyer for the entire business or its assets.

Parkman commented: “The company has been placed into administration due to its financial situation, and Purnells have instructed agents to assess whether a buyer for the business or its assets can be located.”
