Halo Foods has relaunched its Fruitus bar duo as gluten-free as part of a strategy to push it as a breakfast option.
Rolling out from this week, the reformulated gluten-free apricot and raspberry variants have the same 20% oat content but feature other cereals, such as cornflakes, and seeds to help keep consumers ‘fuller for longer’.
Pitched as an on-the-go breakfast, the gluten-free recipe had been introduced to up appeal among 16 to 34-year-olds - an age group Halo Foods claimed was “40% more likely to shop the free-from aisle and more likely to skip breakfast or eat it on-the-go”.
The revamp includes updated packaging reflecting the bars’ free-from status.
