Fuel10k has launched a swathe of high-protein ambient meals and snacks.
The 10-strong range includes instant soups and noodles, along with a duo of microwaveable pouches.
Rich Moroccan Chickpea Tagine and Warming Mexican Bean Chilli microwaveable pouches (rsp: £3) have rolled into Sainsbury’s stores.
Meanwhile, he instant soup sachets (rsp: £1.75) have launched into selected grocers in Tomato, Chicken, Vegetable and Mushroom variants, all of which are low in fat with no artificial preservatives.
A quartet of noodle pots (rsp: £1.50) – in Roast Chicken, Katsu Curry, Sizzling Beef and Sweet Chilli – will launch into selected stores on 28 April. Each provides 20g protein.
While protein was driving growth in other categories, there were “limited high-protein options within quick meals, snacks and soup”, said Fuel10k.
“We know the Fuel10k brand resonates with consumers who are looking for products with higher protein content but, importantly, that still taste great,” said Kate Yateman-Smith, brand director for quick meals, snacks and soup at Fuel10k owner Premier Foods.
“By utilising our R&D and innovation expertise, we’re now taking the brand into new categories with even more products designed to meet the needs of consumers looking for nutritious and protein rich products no matter the time of day,” Yateman-Smith added.
It comes after Fuel10k expanded its range of breakfast cereals with a duo of Multigrain Hoops and added a range of protein-packed baking mixes in January.
