Limoncello and Raspberry have rolled into Tesco stores nationwide.

Funkin Cocktails has added a duo of RTD spritzes.

Limoncello and Raspberry have rolled into Tesco stores nationwide (rsp: £2.30/330ml).

Canned at 4.5% abv, they would help retailers “make the most of the sunshine season”, predicted the AG Barr-owned brand.

Spritz serves were “a consumer favourite”, with four in five drinkers enjoying them in the summer months, said Funkin, citing CGA on-trade data.

With spritz being the number two cocktail choice in the on-trade, there was “a clear opportunity” to boost off-trade sales, it added.

“With the warmer months upon us, we wanted to create a drink that’s fresh, fun and can match every event,” said Funkin Cocktails head of brand Ashley Birch-Ruffell. “We’ve seen the rise of spritz over the last few years in the on-trade especially and saw a perfect opportunity to create an easy, refreshing sipping experience with a vibrant new look.

“We’re confident they’ll become a must-have for this spring/summer and beyond.”
