The FWD has launched a mentoring scheme, bringing together 14 senior leaders in the wholesale channel to share experience and expertise with young colleagues.
Volunteers including Unitas MD John Kinney, Costco marketing and admin director Sue Knowles and FWD chairman Coral Rose will work with members of the FWD Future Leaders Forum across the next 12 months.
The FWD recently established the FLF with the aim of developing emerging talent in the wholesale sector who are aged 30 or under.
“Mentoring is a great way to accelerate FLF members’ development by tapping into the knowledge of someone further along in their career,” said FWD head of engagement Lyndsey Cambridge.
“It’s a priceless opportunity to learn from someone outside their own organisation who can share advice, offer guidance and be a sounding board for your thoughts.”
Members have been invited to put themselves forward for the new scheme, and will be assigned mentors on a first come, first served basis.
FWD CEO James Bielby said: “We are delighted to be able to offer this service to help the next generation of wholesale leaders realise their full potential, and form strong and lasting relationships with the senior executives who have been on the same journey themselves.
“The mentoring scheme is an additional benefit of FWD membership, and a commitment to investing in our members and the future of the wholesale channel.”
