Bread Holdings has appointed two new managing directors to head its brands, Gail’s and The Bread Factory.

Former Comptoir Group CEO Nick Ayerst will join Gail’s as its new managing director.

Ayerst has over 20 years’ experience in catering, hospitality and retail including two years leading Comptoir Group, 15 months as MD of Leon, and seven years as MD of The Restaurant Group Concessions.

Dan Barrett will be the new MD at The Bread Factory, having led Gail’s wholesale and commercial division for almost four years.

Barrett has worked in the food and beverage industry for over 10 years, including as MD of Hackney Gelato, head of innovation at Innocent Drinks, and MD and board advisor at Deliciously Ella.

Bread Holdings COO Marta Pogroszewska said the shake-up was key to “continue delivering high quality at scale” and having “a positive impact on the world around us”.
