Geest has bought the Genevieve Langlais group of companies which produce prepared leaf salads and convenience salads in France.
The deal will cost 19m euros plus 7m euros of debt and will make Geest one of the three largest producers of prepared leaf salads in France where it claimed consumption grew by 11% last year.
GLSA’s operating business Crudi had a turnover of 52m euros in 2002.
