Noble Foods has announced two senior appointments as part of its plan accelerate growth and expansion. Geraldine Phillips has become marketing director for its shell egg division, while Sarah Baldwin has taken on the role of managing director at Gü Puds.
Phillips will be tasked with leading the division’s marketing communications, driving penetration and growing the overall category. She will also oversee the activity and innovation plan for brands including The Happy Egg Company and Big & Fresh.
With more than 15 years’ experience working with food and drink brands, Phillips was most recently European marketing manager for growth business platforms at frozen food supplier Iglo Group. She has also been the head of Birds Eye’s side dishes UK marketing team.
“Geraldine is a brilliant addition to our growing team and her expert insight and experience within the food sector is first class,” said Dale Burnett, Noble Foods CEO.
He also welcomed Baldwin to Gü, calling her “the ideal person” to grow the chilled dessert brand. “I have no doubt Sarah’s experience and knowledge of the food sector will drive the brand forward,” he added.
Her remit will be to grow Gü in the UK, France and Germany and to increase brand penetration through ‘bold and strategic’ innovation.
Previously marketing director for dairy giant Arla, Baldwin, who has spent 18 years in the food and drink industry, began her career as a sales representative for Mars before moving on to Bulmers, Dairy Crest and Asda.
Her appointment follows last week’s announcement that former Dairy Crest trading director Richard Hollingdale had joined Gü as its new commercial director.
