Fast-casual kebab brand German Doner Kebab has appointed two new senior leaders to support its growth.
Tommy Edmond joins as chief financial officer, bringing over 20 years’ experience in leadership positions in QSR and finance, including 10 years at McDonald’s UK.
Amit Pancholi becomes franchise development director, joining GDK from Papa Johns, where he was director of property and business development. He has also held senior leadership positions, including head of property at SK Group, Domino’s Pizza, and other QSR franchises.
They have been tasked with supporting the brand’s growth in both the UK and international markets.
GDK saw year-on-year sales increase by 7.7% in 2023, and is gearing up to open its 150th store in the coming months.
“GDK is a brand with incredible potential, and I’m eager to contribute to its next phase of growth,” said Pancholi.
“With a strong foundation in place and a bold vision for the future, I look forward to driving the expansion strategy and bringing the GDK experience to more customers across the globe.”
German Doner Kebab CEO Simon Wallis added: “We are delighted to welcome our new team members at this significant time for GDK.”
”Their expertise will play a pivotal role as we continue in our mission to dominate the kebab category across the world and right here in the UK and further demonstrates our commitment to strengthen our team and increase support of our Franchise Partners, as they work hard to elevate the kebab eating experience one kebab done right at a time.
