Arla has secured a contract to supply Cravendale to Tesco’s Giraffe restaurants.
As of mid-May, Cravendale is the “primary milk supplier” to Giraffe, meaning its milk is used in hot and cold drinks and the Cravendale logo is featured on Giraffe menus.
Arla and Giraffe began their relationship with a special promotion for National Smile Month (19 May to 19 June). Giraffe customers will be given a free glass of Cravendale whole milk every time they order a kids meal.
Giraffe and Cravendale shared similar family values, said Cravendale senior brand manager Sophie Macaulay. “At Cravendale, we’re dedicated to providing the highest quality fresh milk to our customers. We are confident visitors to Giraffe will be pleased with the new addition to the menu.”
Giraffe co-founder Juliette Joffe added: “We are delighted to be working with Arla Foods. The product is exceptional and after taste testing all were agreed that the quality of the hot drinks improved remarkably. Cravendale’s purity also means it has a better shelf life than previous products we have used, so practically it is beneficial to my business.”
Cravendale’s deal with Giraffe comes after the brand became milk supplier to Starbucks last year, supplying the coffee chain with an estimated 16 million litres a year
