Cobra, the Indian beer which is claimed to be less gassy than its rivals, has won Gold at the 2002 Monde Selection in Paris for the second year running.
Brewer Cobra Beer said the award, which is sponsored by the Sunday Times and Virgin Atlantic, was further proof that its celebrated brew is becoming acknowledged as a quality beer in its own right and not just a partner for Indian food.
Karan Bilimoria, founder and CEO of Cobra Beer, said: "The significance of winning such an award cannot be underestimated. To win twice in a row is outstanding."
