Westons Cider is reviving the historic GL brand.
GL, which stands for for Gold Label but is nicknamed Gloucester lager in its heartland, is a medium-sweet cider with an abv of 4%.
Weston’s is launching the drink into the on-trade on draught but said it would consider bottling it for the off-trade if there was sufficient demand.
The brand was acquired by Bulmers in 1948 and bought by Westons from Bulmers’ owner Heineken in 2010.
