In Scotland, Graham’s Dairies has bought Stevenson Dairy Farm a supplier of milk to independent retailers, hotels, schools and the catering trade in central and south Ayrshire.
Bridge of Allan-based Graham’s said the acquisition would boost turnover by £1m to £18m and would strengthen its position across the central region in Glasgow and Edinburgh, as well as in Fife and in south west Scotland.
Managing director Robert Graham said: ”The Stevenson deal represents a perfect fit for us. We have in recent years broken into the supermarket sector with our niche Jersey milk products but the middle-ground is still our strongest suit.”
