Graham’s The Family Dairy has signed a deal to supply its milk and butter to all 200 Scotmid Co-operative stores.
The new relationship will see the Scottish dairy supply its 2-litre Light and Low milk, Scottish salted and unsalted butter, and 250g packs of spreadable butter to the retailer after a successful trial in Scotmid’s Edinburgh stores.
The range went on sale this week across Scotland. The company’s Organic and Gold branded products made with Jersey milk will also be introduced to selected stores as part of the agreement.
“We are delighted our products performed so well during the trial in Scotmid stores and believe the company is an ideal retail partner as it shares our aims and aspirations,” said Graham’s The Family Dairy MD Robert Graham.
The listings would give the dairy company “a whole new customer base”, claimed Graham, who added that it and Scotmid were both “rooted in Scottish communities”.
Stephen Brown, local sourcing manager for Scotmid Co-operative said Graham’s was “a terrific family business who works closely with Scottish farming communities”.
“We’re thrilled to be launching this new partnership with Graham’s as part of our commitment to supporting local suppliers,” he added.
