Grants of St James's is introducing a new range of upmarket wines from California as part of a plan to develop a prestigious premium wine portfolio from the Americas.
It plans to introduce four Ravenswood wines retailing between £6.99 and £11 at the California wine trade tasting in London at the end of this month.
They are all Zinfandel varietals as the winery has developed a reputation in the US for specialising in the grape.
Wines from the estate have been available in the UK before but Grants of St James's intends to make them much more widely available, particularly in the multiples and specialists.
The company is making the most of the wines now available through Constellation, its US parent company.
As a result, Grants has been building up its Americas wine collection which now features Veramonte from Chile (£6.99-£9.99), Estancia (£8.99-£9.99) from Pasa Robles in California. The wines have been brought together in one range which has its own dedicated brand managers and marketing support.
