Sainsbury’s commercial director Mike Coupe has been appointed to the board of brewing company Greene King.
Coupe, who is responsible for trading, marketing, IT and online at Sainsbury’s, becomes a non-executive director role at the Old Speckled Hen maker on 26 July.
“We look forward to welcoming Mike Coupe to our board and believe that the multi-site retailing and commercial experience he brings will be a great asset to us,” said Greene King chairman Tim Bridge.
The news comes after Greene King last month announced record profits of £140m for the past year.
