A Yorkshireman born in Spain is set to bring premium Spanish food to the masses via new retail and wholesale business Grey’s Fine Foods.
Javier De La Hormaza said Grey’s would offer more than 100 “rare delicacies” such as milk-fed lamb, acorn-fed Ibérico ham, marron glacé and 100-year-old brandy, after spending 18 months sealing exclusive deals with producers.
“French and Italian foods are very established here but people have not been given access to top-quality Spanish foods,” said De La Hormaza.
“We want to build bridges and offer a range of fine foods and wines that have been almost impossible to source in Britain in the past.”
