Entries are now open for The Grocer Gold Awards 2025 – including a new award for the social impact initiative of the year.
The award aims to recognise the outstanding work of food and drink retailers, wholesalers, suppliers, social enterprises, charities and NGOs who either individually or collaboratively, are demonstrably and sustainably benefiting society and improving the lives of individuals and communities through their initiatives and programmes.
It’s one of 33 awards to be handed out in a spectacular ceremony at the Royal Albert Hall on 8 July 2025, a celebration of individual and collective achievement across the food and drink industry’s diverse range of sectors, disciplines, categories and channels.
And the rigorous and extensive judging process that culminates in the crowning of those 33 winners kicks off this week. There are 11 industry awards for grocery retailers, wholesalers and suppliers; eight awards for brands and products; six initiative awards (including the new social impact award) and four people awards, including the entrepreneur of the Year, the Store Manager of the Year and The Grocer Cup for outstanding industry achievement.
A further four awards are decided through use of exclusive, proprietary third-party data: Britain’s Favourite Supermarket (sponsored by NIQ) and The Grocer 33 awards for service, availability and price (sponsored by Assosia).
