The winner of The Grocer Gold Store Manager of the Year Award is now starring in an advertising campaign for Morrisons.
Joanne Bennett-McNally, store manager of Morrisons Widnes, takes centre stage in the ad to tell shoppers the different ways they can do their Christmas shop this year.
The ad was filmed at Bennett-McNally’s Widnes store and is being shared across Morrisons’ social media.
Bennett-McNally scooped the Store Manager of the Year Award earlier this month when she impressed the judging panel with the store’s extraordinary turnaround under her leadership.

The manager beat out tough competition from all of the major retailers to take the title and was described as “inspirational” and “remarkable” by the judging panel.
“She taught me alot about the balancing of doing a great job and managing life during lockdown.” said judge Tim Mason, CEO of Eagle Eye.
“She faced some pretty intense challenges during lockdown and managed those in an amazing way. She’s a role model.”
Upon receiving her award Bennett-McNally said: “I’m absolutely blown away – I’ve never won anything in my life!”
“It’s been a tough year for us all in retail. Watching our customers and colleagues deal with that has been so hard but I’m so proud of what we’ve all achieved. Tough times don’t last but tough teams do.”
