GroceryAid’s Annual Diamond Ball has raised over £280,000 for former grocery workers who have fallen on hard times.
The ball was held 6 March at the Hilton on Park Lane, London, and attended by over 700 people from across the grocery sector.
A Diamond Draw sponsored by Fayrefield Foods raised over £10,000 with one person winning earrings containing diamonds worth more than £3,500. An auction for four semi-final tickets to the 2015 Rugby World Cup raised £6,500. A Grand Raffle, with more than 35 prizes, raised £10,700.
The welcome speech was given by John Farrell, MD - new business development, Tesco.
