Grolsch premium lager has won an award in the “best wine and beer category” at the annual Vegetarian awards in London.
Grolsch was nominated as a finalist along with other beers from Beck’s, Caledonian Brewery Golden Promise (last year’s winner), Hoegaarden, Carlsberg, as well as Hardys Merlot red wine and Carl Jung Champagne.
Three million consumers and 17,000 UK vegetarian society members voted for the award.
Coors Brewers premium brands director David Preston said: “This terrific award supports our firm belief that the only additive you need in great beer is time.”
