Drinks group Diageo is giving permission to Dutch brewer Heineken to make and sell the Guinness in Russia.
The drink will be available in Russia in bottles and cans as Guinness Foreign Extra Stout, and it will be on sale from the summer in St Petersburg.
Outside of Ireland, Guinness has also developed a strong following in Britain, the US, the Caribbean and certain parts of Africa.
Heineken has also been granted Russian distribution rights for the Irish beer Kilkenny.
