Belgian chocolate manufacturer Guylian has promoted sales and marketing director Kevin Toms to the newly-created post of UK managing director.
He assumes responsibilities previously handled by Carl Krefting, international managing director and chairman of
Guylian, who is based in Belgium. The company has yet to decide whether or not it will appoint a sales and marketing director to replace Toms or whether he will retain the role.
Toms has worked in the confectionery industry for 24 years. He joined Guylian as sales and marketing director four years ago from Bon Bon Buddies. Before that he was a national account manager for Ferrero.
Krefting said: “Kevin has created a UK team that handles the direct accounts in the multiple sector as well as SHS, which is our new sales broker organisation.
“His appointment is richly deserved.”
