Bakkavör has teamed up with TV cooks The Hairy Bikers to launch a range of chilled ready meals and side dishes.

The products - based on some of the Bikers’ favourite recipes - are going into Tesco stores now before a wider roll-out to other retailers later in the year.

Described as generously-portioned traditional meals that taste like home cooking, the six-strong line-up includes cottage pie, fish pie, cauliflower & broccoli cheese and Cheddar mash. They are priced from £3.50 for side dishes to £5.30 for main meals.

“We have worked closely with the Hairy Bikers on the development of the new range, including close collaboration on sourcing all of the fresh ingredients for each dish,” said Bakkavör convenience sector marketing manager Guy Hayden.

The Hairy Bikers visited Tesco stores in Cheshunt and Newcastle last week to promote the range.
