Hall & Woodhouse, brewer of Tanglefoot and Badger, has appointed Anthony and Mark Woodhouse as joint managing directors following the sudden death of MD David Woodhouse earlier this month.
David, who had been MD since 1998, died on New Years’s Day after suffering a heart attack while walking in woods near his house.
His brother Anthony and cousin Mark will now share the top job. Both have previously been involved with the company - Anthony as non-executive director since 2000 and Mark as director since 1990 and vice chairman since 2005.
Exact details of how responsibilities will be divided between the two have not yet been finalised.
“The appointment of Anthony and Mark ensures that the company will build on David’s legacy and remain on its established strategic path as an independent family brewer,” said Lord Rockley, chairman of Hall & Woodhouse.
