Specialist confectionery cash and carry Hancocks has revealed that it is closing its cash and carry site at Stockton on Tees on December 30.

The group said that it would concentrate on developing its Newcastle site and would continue to look for new sites in both the north and south of the country.

Andrew Hancock, chief executive officer of Hancocks added that he hoped to open one new cash and carry during 2006.
