Andrea Hargrave, senior buyer at Booker is to leave the cash and carry after 14 years working for the business.
Hargrave joined Booker in 1992 as marketing manager for liquor. More recently, as senior buyer, she has been responsible for developing Booker’s wine range. Booker’s own-label range, Malt House Vintners, now offers over 300 wines for the independent trade.
Hargrave’s most recent mission was to make the range a “value brand without a cheap image” and “as powerful as a top-selling brand”.
A Booker spokeswoman said: “Andrea has been an invaluable member of Booker’s team over the past 14 years. We would like to thank her for her commitment and hard work and wish her every success as she goes on to pursue new opportunities.”
The spokeswoman added: “Andrea’s reasons for leaving Booker are personal to her.”
