Mars is developing a range of confectionery based on the weird and wonderful sweets described in publishing phenomena the Harry Potter books. It has signed a deal with Warner Bros to produce a range of sugar and chocolate sweets for sale outside the US and Canada.The first products should be available in time for the film launch in November. Jelly Slugs, Cockroach Clusters and Pepper Imps are among author JK Rowling's creations and none has yet been ruled out. "Our challenge is to capture the essence of the Harry Potter fantasy and translate it into a major confectionery brand," said a Mars spokesman.
