Hazel Cawthorne, a category manager with Manor Bakeries, has scooped Leading Edge Member of the Year.
For this year's competition, sponsored by McVitie's and backed by The Grocer, members were asked to outline the best business advice they had received and how they used it.
Cawthorne's report was based around the advice "short-term success can be bought, but long-term success lies only in the triple win". She proved her solution had benefited the consumer, retailer and supplier.
At the Leading Edge convention, Cawthorne received her prize from McVitie's sales director Martin Perkins. Second was Lorraine Amos, a Unilever Bestfoods supply chain manager, and third was David Harriman, a NAM with Manor Bakeries.
