Wine merchant Hayman Barwell Jones has appointed Elizabeth Wilson to the new role of buying and marketing director.
She joins the company from wine merchants Berkmann Wine Cellars, where she was national account manager for key accounts such as Sainsbury, Majestic and Morrisons.
Wilson previously worked as a wine buyer for The Co-operative Group. Prior to that, she was a national accounts manager for Vinfruco and worked in the quality control department at Western Wines.
Sales and marketing director David Whan said that Wilson would help to take HBJ’s strategy forward.
The strategy involves developing an off-trade presence.
HBJ’s roots are in the on-trade but it now trades with Marks and Spencer, Oddbins and Waitrose.
