Supplements retailer Health Rack has closed five stores outside its North West heartland after striking a rescue deal with administrators to save the business.
The remaining eight shops - spread across Lancashire, Merseyside and Greater Manchester, as well as one in Hull - will remain open, saving the jobs of about 30 staff.
Jason Elliott and Craig Johns of insolvency firm Cowgill Holloway Business Recovery were appointed as joint administrators of the retailer on 19 May. Health Rack director Sam Bailey has purchased the assets of the company after setting up Vitamin Saver Ltd as a vehicle for the deal.
The administrators and Health Rack were not available for comment.
