Heineken has unveiled packaging extensions of Desperados and Old Mout, two of its key brands within the world beer and world cider sub-categories, as it taps the continuing trend for smaller can sizes.
Rolling out this month and aimed at young adults, the new formats see flavoured beer Desperados in a 250ml single and a pack of six 330ml cans, while Old Mout, a premium cider, is introducing 10x330ml packs of Old Kiwi & Lime and Passionfruit & Apple. The former flavour will also be available in new fridge four-packs of 330ml for on the go and outdoor. Heineken said the new formats would appeal to a bigger shopper base and open up sales opportunities.
