Heinz is hoping to reinvigorate sales of its sauces and condiments with the introduction of horseradish, mint and tartare sauces to its 57 range.
The sauces, which to date have only been available as part of the brand’s foodservice offer, will be rolled out at the end of this month in a 220ml top-down squeezy format (rsp: £1.49).
In the year to 22 June 2013, Heinz total sauces and condiments sales were up just 0.7% on volumes down 6.9% [IRI]. The new trio would drive penetration among younger consumers, said Heinz 57 sauces brand manager Olivia Hibbert.
Heinz is supporting ‘Movember’ with the rollout of 2.5 million moustachioed HP Sauce bottles.
