A new TV advert for Heinz Beanz is set to make its debut this weekend, as part of a £4m media investment by owner Kraft Heinz.
First airing on 27 August during the opening episode of the new series of The X Factor, the ad, aims to illustrate ‘a multitude of moments when Beanz make things that bit better’ - from a mum serving tea to her kids to builders eating a big breakfast. The ad is soundtracked by #CanSong, a tune that has its rhythm tapped out on a tin of Beanz.
The ad, which comes as Beanz is down 2% in value sales [IRI 52 w/e 21 May 2016], invites consumers to visit Heinz’s Facebook page to take part in the ‘#CanSong challenge’ by performing and uploading their own version - which will help to raise money for Global Radio’s Make Some Noise grant-giving scheme to help young people living with disadvantage.
The partnership is set to kick off on 5 September with messaging on more than six million Beanz packs and promotional activity across the Heart and Capital stations.
“Beanz are loved by everyone,” said senior brand manager Francesca Mattiussi. “By allowing consumers to get involved in a number of ways and showing them many recognisable moments where Beanz can be enjoyed, we will remind them of their love while driving incremental sales for our customers.
“On top of this we are thrilled to support Make Some Noise - making our job that bit more rewarding,” she added.
