Heinz is expanding its Reduced Sugar and Salt Beans into the Fridge Pack format launched last year.
Last September, the company rolled out its standard beans in the Fridge Pack, a re-sealable jar that keeps beans fresh in the fridge for five days after opening. Heinz said the family-targeted format now accounted for 4% of the beans market, and 47% of sales had been incremental to the category.
The Reduced Sugar and Salt variant (rsp: £1.93/ 1kg), which will roll out to stores at the end of this month, has a silver lid to set it apart from the standard version.
