Heinz has introduced a new look European retail business (see news) with a major management shake-up across its UK categories.
Mark Holdaway has been promoted to business director, grocery UK, with an expanded portfolio of responsibilities which includes soups, beans and pasta and ketchup and sauces.
Julian Dunn is the new business director for nutritional foods, covering infant feeding and organics.
Clodagh Ward is to report to Dunn in her new role as general manager, UK infant feeding, alongside her fellow general manager Rupert Maitland-Titterton.
He has been given strategic responsibility for development of all Heinz organic and nutritional foods, as Heinz pledges to give the category one face for the trade.
Robin Walker has been appointed business director, frozen and chilled, looking after Heinz frozen food, Weight Watchers, the sandwich business, and other new acquisitions.
Ian Meadows is moving from John West to take up the post of business director, seafood, for the UK and western Europe.
Nigel Clare, new CEO of Heinz Retail, Europe, is acting director of UK and Ireland operations until a permanent head is appointed.
A City analyst said: "The restructure is all about consistency in Heinz's marketing, and providing a coherent positioning for its brands."
