Jan Kruise has been appointed managing director for Heinz UK & Ireland.
Kruise has worked at Heinz for 13 years and moves up from the role of MD for Heinz Central, North & East Europe (CNE). In that role he was responsible for Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Nordics, Poland and Eastern Europe.
Prior to Heinz, Kruise was at Unilever for 13 years.
He will report to former UK & Ireland president Matt Hill who was promoted to Heinz Europe zone president in June 2013.
Kruise succeeds Phil Jones who Heinz said was leaving “to pursue other opportunities”.
Jones was UK & Ireland MD for just 14 months. He was promoted to the role in August last year and had worked at Heinz since 2006, in roles including foodservice director, sales director and chief customer officer.
