Industry charity GroceryAid has appointed Helen Kershaw as marketing communications manager.
Kershaw moves to GroceryAid from her most recent role as head of marketing at furniture care business Guardsman Industries UK, where she helped transform it into a consumer-focused enterprise and launch a range of new product and service initiatives.
“As our industry changes fast, the need to communicate with those in need of support is more crucial than ever, said GroceryAid chief executive Steve Barnes.
“The appointment of Helen is a key one for GroceryAid as we step change awareness throughout the industry.”
Kershaw, who began her career at the Meat & Livestock Commission, said she looked forward to combining her “passion for the grocery industry with such a worthwhile cause”.
She has held several marketing and communications roles in the grocery industry, with French cheese company Bongrain, low-calorie sweetener Canderel and Fox’s Biscuits.
GroceryAid helps industry employees all over the UK who have worked, or are working in grocery and who need extra support.
