HelloFresh is aiming to take a slice of the Christmas dinner market with the launch of a festive box.
The Christmas box contains ingredients for a full family dinner, including a butter-basted roast turkey with pigs in blankets, rosemary roast potatoes, brussels sprouts with garlic and pancetta, honey & thyme roasted root veg, and spiced red cabbage with apple and gravy.
The box costs £69.99 for a family of four. A premium version, which also has a chocolate orange pot dessert, costs £89.99 for four.
The product is also available for larger parties of six, eight or 10 people.
Unlike standard HelloFresh boxes, the Christmas product is available to non-subscribers as a one-off purchase.
However, it will have the same format as a standard box with pre-measured ingredients and “easy-to-follow” recipe cards.
All the recipes have been “tried and tested” by its culinary team, led by in-house chef Mimi.
HelloFresh said the box aimed to “take the stress out of cooking” a family Christmas dinner.
“We understand that cooking Christmas dinner can be tiring and stressful,” said HelloFresh CEO Claire Davenport. “We want to take the hassle out of Christmas so we’ve developed the basic and premium boxes to help make Christmas simple, manageable and stress-free for both experienced cooks and less confident cooks making Christmas dinner for the first time.”
