Henderson Wholesale has drawn up a new food-to-go concept based on the Streat café business it bought in January.
It has designed a new food-to-go counter selling hot drinks and snacks that can be used by convenience retailers with no room for tables and seats.
The first counter in a new Spar forecourt store opened in Ardglass and the concept is now available for other Spar retailers in Northern Ireland.
"This is a fully integrated food-to-go model that provides consistency, compliance and profitability underpinned by the Streat's award-winning training and business systems," said the wholesaler.
It claimed retailers would benefit from Streat's high-quality product range, including its coffee made with Costa Rican and Kenyan beans.
"Feedback from locals has been really positive about the new store," said store manager Nicola Tate.
