Henderson Technology has installed its 1,000th EPoS system.
The company marked the milestone with Nisa retailer LA Foods at its Uxbridge Road store in London. It has also rolled out the technology, called EdgePoS, at LA Foods’ remaining 12 sites.
Since Henderson launched the system in 2011, it had “evolved into one of the most powerful and user friendly EPoS systems globally”, it said.
It allows retailers to automate orders and power electronic shelf labels and self-scan tills, as well as offer real-time sales insights and trend analysis. It also features customer loyalty programs and multi-site management assistance.
“We chose EdgePoS because we wanted a system that could make our store operations more streamlined and automated,” said LA Foods co-owner Tabrez Hussain. “The self-checkouts, suggested ordering, and electronic shelf labels were particularly appealing, and while we haven’t yet rolled out ESLs, we are excited about their potential.
“Features like automated ordering save time we can now spend on other tasks, such as regular stock takes. The reduction printers and digital handsets have also been invaluable additions.
“It’s reassuring to know that Henderson Technology has a strong foundation and that we are part of a large network of users. It gives us confidence in their long-term support and future advancements.”
Henderson Technology retail operations director Darren Nickels said: “Reaching the 1,000th installation is a tremendous achievement, and we are thrilled that LA Foods is the business to mark this milestone.
“We are excited for their future and proud they chose EdgePoS to drive their operations forward. It’s retailers like LA Foods that inspire us to continue innovating and delivering solutions tailored to their needs.”
