Cider maker Henney's is adding a St George-themed bottled cider to its portfolio before the World Cup.
England's Pride, available now at Tesco and Booths and at Morrisons from next month, is a lightly sparkling medium-dry cider made from Herefordshire apples. It comes in 500ml bottles (rsp: £1.79).
Founder Mike Henney insisted it was not just a novelty product to capitalise on the World Cup. "I do expect strong sales linked to the tournament, but the aim is to establish the drink in the long term."
