Eco-friendly personal care challenger Here We Flo has secured almost £2m in angel funding to supercharge growth in the UK and the US.
Founded in 2017 by friends Tara Chandra and Susan Allen, the brand sells period care and bladder care products made from bamboo and organic cotton, as well as condoms using natural rubber latex.
Here We Flo’s organic range is available on its DTC site and in Boots, Ocado and Holland & Barrett in the UK and in Target and Whole Foods in the US.
The £1.7m angel round is backed by founders and executives from the likes of M&S, Tails.com, Harry’s, Charlotte Tilbury, Method, Graze, Innocent, Burt’s Bees and Unilever.
“We are delighted angel investors have backed our business supporting life’s messiest moments,” Chandra said.
She described the brand’s growth as “huge” and added that sales had tripled in 2022.
“We’re challenging industries that have relied for too long on synthetic fibres, petroleum plastics, pesticide and harsh chemical residues,” Chandra said.
“The investment raised will be for team hires in the UK and US, marketing and working capital.”
