Costcutter has bagged another new member - new South West-based retail group Heritage Madison.
The group is run by entrepreneurs Raj Athwal and Ravi Shetra and currently comprises 10 former Nisa and Londis stores in Somerset and Devon ranging from 800 sq ft to 2,500 sq ft.
Athwal said it hoped to use the move to fuel expansion and that it planned to open five new stores a year.
“These stores present a fantastic opportunity to create excellent c-stores across the South West and with the right symbol partner we hope to build a very profitable portfolio,” he said.
“The Costcutter brand is very strong and gives us and our customers a lot of confidence. It puts us in a strong position from which we can expand our business.”
Heritage Madison is the third new member for Costcutter in five months. It recruited Dhillon & Dhillon in September and Motor Fuel Group in October.
“Raj and Ravi recognise the range of added benefits the Costcutter brand has and the advantages it will bring to their stores,” added Jamie Davison, Costcutter’s UK sales & development director (south).
